Ashley_small

Ashley Mills, the fourth employee hired by The Spice & Tea Exchange®, recently reached her 5-Year Anniversary and is closing in on her first full year of being a TSTE® Franchisee!

Two years ago Ashley reached another impressive milestone by successfully completing the course work and passing her Certified Franchise Executive exam.  She now adds the CFE designation to her title and to her resume.

Trained by Clay himself, Ashley went on to help open and train franchisees for over 30 of our 43 locations.  From creating training materials, going onsite to store openings, creating system standards, supporting franchisees as a Field Consultant, and so much more, Ashley has been an integral part of the TSTE® Team (even dating back to the historical square jar and Marsh Series days)!

Around this same time last year, an opportunity arose to buy the store in Highlands, North Carolina and she jumped on it.  Now every vacation day and long weekend are spent working in her store in the mountains of NC.  Ashley’s hard work and dedication have resulted in a double digit sales increase for that location in the first year!  Her experience and insight as a franchisee have been highly valuable to the operations team.  “I feel that it says a lot about the strength of the brand and culture of the company when employees want to become franchisees,” says Mills.

If she had spare time, Ashley would be found doing the things she enjoys:  Cooking healthy meals, drinking Silver Needle tea, avoiding glutens, doing CrossFit, finding deals online, taking awesome photos, decorating her house, playing with her dog, drinking old vine zins, drinking hoppy IPAs, paddle boarding, biking, crossword puzzles, pan flute and disco dancing (okay…maybe not crossword puzzles).
